Large Lehigh Contingent Headed to Ohio For U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freestyle season continues for members of the Lehigh wrestling team as the Mountain Hawks will send a large contingent to this weekend's U23 Nationals and U20 World Team Trials, Friday-Sunday in Geneva, Ohio.
As many as 16 Mountain Hawks could be in action this weekend. Rising sophomores Carter Bailey (61kg) and Nathan Taylor (125kg) are expected to compete in freestyle at the U20 level. Champions this weekend at the U20 level will earn a spot on the team that will compete at the U20 World Championships in Warsaw, Poland in August.
Competition in the U20 group will be a one day affair with the challenge tournament beginning Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The best 2-out-of-3 finals at the 10 weight classes will begin Saturday at 4 p.m,
For the U23 Nationals, competition will begin Saturday with preliminaries and consolations and will conclude Sunday, beginning with championship quarterfinals running all the way through medal matches and the best 2-out-of-3 finals. A complete list of probable Lehigh competitors is below.
