BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's lacrosse team will head to Lewisburg on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game against Bucknell.

The Mountain Hawks come into Saturday's game with a 6-3 record (3-1 PL). The Bison are 2-7 (1-3 PL). Lehigh is looking for its second straight Patriot League victory after defeating Lafayette 15-9 at home last Saturday.

Despite a slow start, the Mountain Hawks exploded for 10 goals in the second half while holding Lafayette to six goals after halftime. The Mountain Hawks held their opponents to below double digit goals for the first time this season.

Junior Scott Cole and fifth-year Mike Sisselberger both earned Patriot League weekly awards on Monday. Cole was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after recording six points (2G, 4A) while being guarded by the Leopards' best defender. Mike Sisselberger was named the Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week after winning 19-of-22 faceoffs on Saturday while picking up 14 ground balls.

It marked the second-best faceoff-winning percentage Sisselberger has ever had. His career-best is 90% after he went 20-of-22 at the stripe against Villanova in 2021.

Cole is two points away from recording his 100th career point.

Senior attacker Christian Mule' dished out five assists on Saturday. He is fourth in the nation in assists per game (2.89). Bucknell's leading point scorer Dutch Furlong is right behind Mule' with 2.88 assists per game.

First-year Richard Checo, who is also leading the nation in caused turnovers per game (3.89), needs just seven more caused turnovers to tie Craig Chick's single-season record for most caused turnovers (42). Chick holds the NCAA record for most career caused turnovers (160).

Lehigh ranks first in the Patriot League in goals per game (14.33 goals per game), and Bucknell is sixth in the league in (11.00) goals per game. Justin Tiernan leads the way in that category. He is averaging 3.22 goals per game. Bucknell's Connor Davis is second in the league in goals per game (3.17).

Lehigh leads the all-time series 38-18. The Mountain Hawks have won the last three games against the Bison. It was a close one in Bethlehem last season as the Mountain Hawks won 13-12.

After Saturday's game, Lehigh will host Colgate on April 15 at 12 p.m. on Senior Day. The game will be aired on CBS Sports Network.
