Klebe Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Abby Klebe was named the Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week for track and field, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Klebe posted the top time in the Patriot League this season in the 800 meters Sunday at the Bison Outdoor Classic, clocking in at 2:09.45. She finished sixth in her event with her time setting an outdoor personal best, putting Klebe in fourth place on Lehigh's all-time list.
The Chesterbrook, Pa., native also competed in the 4x400 meter relay on Sunday, where Lehigh's team finished in eighth place.
This is the first outdoor honor for Klebe, who was a one-time Rookie of the Week during the indoor season. Klebe was a second team All-Patriot League with her runner-up finish in the 800 meters at the Patriot League indoor championships. She was also on the 4x800 meter relay team that earned a silver medal.
Klebe and the Mountain Hawks will compete in two meets this weekend, Moravian's Coach P Invite Friday and Saturday in Bethlehem, and Saturday's Rider Invitational in Lawrenceville, N.J.
