
Lehigh Closes Out Spring Break Trip With 4-3 Victory Over Quinnipiac

ORLANDO – The Lehigh women's tennis team closed out its spring break trip to Florida with a 4-3 victory over Quinnipiac Wednesday at the USTA National Campus. The Mountain Hawks claimed a tightly-contested doubles point and won three singles matches to earn their third victory of the season.

The doubles point came down to the top flight, where Lehigh's team of juniors Anushka and Megha Dania edged Jordan Bradley and Nikole Lisovyy in a tiebreak to win 7-6. Lehigh's No. 3 team of sophomore Hamsa Javagal and first-year Bella Peters also posted a win, 6-4 over Kamilla Nella and Milla Filiberti.

Senior Junmoke James raced to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Bradley in singles play at No. 4 to put Lehigh up 2-0. Megha Dania earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Nella at No. 2 and sophomore Allyce Gaborik delivered the clinching point with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Vera Sekerina at No. 3.

Quinnipiac claimed straight set victories at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.

The Mountain Hawks are headed back to Bethlehem to open Patriot League play on Saturday when Lehigh hosts Loyola at 10 a.m.
