BETHLEHEM, Pa. -Â After playing two games at the Savannah Invitational, the Lehigh women's basketball team returns home to Stabler Arena on Tuesday at 6 p.m. to host Drexel.Â
The Mountain Hawks come into Tuesday's game with a 5-1 record after suffering their first loss of the season against Bowling Green on Nov. 23. Lehigh's five-game winning streak marked the best start to a season since 2019-20.
Drexel is 2-2 this season. The Dragons, who have not played since Nov. 19, are coming off of a 64-53 loss to St. Joseph's.
In Lehigh's game against Bowling Green, five Mountain Hawks scored in double figures. Colleen McQuillen led the way with 19 points, Lily Fandre tallied 13 points, Ella Stemmer and Meghan O'Brien both had 12 points, and Jamie Behar finished with 10 points.Â
The Mountain Hawks have been spreading the wealth this season as eight different players have recorded double figures. There have been four different leading scorers in Lehigh's six games this season.Â
Lehigh is averaging 77.2 points per game, which leads the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks are holding teams to 65.5 points per game.Â
The Dragons are averaging 59.5 points per game and holding opponents to 48.5 points per game.Â
Lane McGurk leads the way for Drexel, averaging 14.0 points per game. McGurk was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 20 after averaging 15 points and four rebounds in two games for Drexel.
The Mountain Hawks are 9-17 all-time against Drexel. The teams met last season at Drexel, and the Dragons defeated Lehigh 84-61. Drexel has won the last five meetings.
