Lehigh Defeats Lafayette For 32nd Straight Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's swimming and diving defeated Lafayette 164-134 on Friday to extend its winning streak to 32 straight years. The Mountain Hawks recorded nine first-place finishes on Friday. 

This win also marked the first win of the season for the Mountain Hawks. Not only did the Mountain Hawks pull out the win, but they also set a record. 

The 200-yard medley relay team of Elvin Lee, Jack Devilbiss, Aaron Williams and Tim Norris swam to a first-place finish and a school record after recording a time of 1:29.48. 

Norris had a bright meet. In addition to being on the winning 200-yard medley team, he helped lead the 400-yard medley team to a victory alongside Alex Patti, Devilbiss and Williams. 

Norris also had a couple of strong individual races. He won the 50-yard freestyle (20.58) and the 100-yard freestyle (45.33). 

Norris wasn't the only one on the relay to win. Williams and Devilbiss also had individual wins. Williams won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.60, and Devilbiss won the 100-yard breaststroke (55.61). 

Senior Miles Cox won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:51.33. Connor Goodyear captured a win in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.01). Ben Kisker swam to a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (1:48.72).

Next up, the Mountain Hawks will host Drexel at Jacobs Pool on Dec. 3.
