
DeVilbiss Takes Down School Record in 100-Yard Breaststroke

LEWISBURG, Pa. - School records continued to highlight Lehigh men's swimming and diving on day three of the Patriot League Championships Friday night at Kinney Natatorium.
Senior Jack DeVilbiss set a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke, first breaking his own record in the prelims with a time of 55.27. He improved on that mark in the finals, clocking in at 54.60 to finish 10th overall. His top-10 finish earned Lehigh 17 points, tied for the team's highest individual finish at the championships.
Sophomore Carson Morris also scored for the Mountain Hawks in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 24th with a time of 1:58.04.
Junior Ben Kisker had a strong performance in the 100-yard backstroke, placing 10th overall after winning the B-Final with a time of 49.24. Lehigh earned eight more points in the event as senior Ronayne finished 18th with a time of 49.62, while first-year Frankie Prekop came in 24th at 50.40.
The 100-yard butterfly saw three Mountain Hawks in the C-Final. Jack Krause led the way with a 20th-place finish at 49.75, followed by Aaron Williams in 23rd (49.75), and Ronayne finishing 24th (50.55).
First-year Jack Deppe contributed 13 points for Lehigh with a 14th-place finish in the 400-yard IM, posting a time of 3:57.93.
Seniors Connor Goodyear and Tim Norris both competed in the 200-yard freestyle C-Final. Goodyear finished 19th with a time of 1:40.18, while Norris came in 20th at 1:40.20.
The 200-yard relay team, consisting of Williams, DeVilbiss, and first-years Chase Bearley and Davies Woerner, capped off day three with a strong fifth-place finish in 1:21.01, earning 50 points for Lehigh.
Heading into the final day of competition, Lehigh sits in sixth place with 302 points.
