BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following last week's races at the Princeton Chase, Lehigh women's and men's rowing set their sights against in-state rival Bucknell. The Mountain Hawks will face off against the Bison in a number of different races on Saturday to conclude their fall season.

"Looking forward to this weekend and a great test for both our teams at Bucknell," said Steven J. '69 and Karen A. Lee head rowing coach Peter Costas. "The athletes have remained focused with an opportunity to start dipping our toe into competitive sprint work against fast opponents. It's a great opportunity for our ten freshmen women and eleven freshmen men traveling to get a sense of the intensity level and quality within their respective conferences."

Both the men's and women's programs will see Bucknell this spring, as the women will compete against them in the Patriot League while the men will compete against them in the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference.

"Both the Patriot League and MARC are competitive conferences, and only getting faster every year," said Costas. "Glad we have the opportunity to gain perspective and challenge ourselves heading into the winter season. Grateful to the Bucknell coaches for putting the day together for both programs."

Lehigh will compete in several different races, as the women are bringing three eight-person boats while the men are bringing two eight-person and one four-person team.
