Lehigh Falls to Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Lehigh women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Sophia Lis scored the lone goal for the Mountain Hawks, tallying her first of the season.

The first half ended scoreless between the teams, with Holy Cross holding a slim 3-2 lead in shots.

About two minutes into the second half, Samantha Adams gave the Crusaders a 1-0 lead off an assist from Grace Soltesz.

It was not until the 60th minute when Lis evened the score 1-1.

Holy Cross's Jenelle Murphy netted the go-ahead goal in the 69th minute off an assist from Ellie Zern.

The Crusaders held onto momentum for much of the remainder of the game, securing the 2-1 victory over Lehigh.

Holy Cross held a narrow 6-4 advantage in shots for the game.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Ousoulogjou played all 90 minutes in net, recording one save. Holy Cross' Mackenzie Wagner also made one save in her 90.

Lehigh (4-4-5) hosts Colgate at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in a midweek contest at Ulrich Sports Complex.
