
Lehigh Battles Army on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After three straight road games, the Lehigh men's soccer teams returns home to the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday with a matchup against Army West Point at 6 p.m.Â
Lehigh is 2-6-3 (1-3 PL), and Army is 3-6 (1-3 PL). The Black Knights have lost their last three games after opening up Patriot League play with a 2-1 victory over Bucknell University on Sept. 16. Army has not scored in its last three games.
Lehigh is coming off of a 2-2 draw to Delaware. The Mountain Hawks were down 2-0, but they scored two goals in the last 26 minutes of the game to earn the draw. Senior Austen Carranza and first-year Connor Kuenstle both recorded their first goals of their collegiate careers.Â
Sophomore goalkeeper Tommy Chyzowych started against the Blue Hens. Chyzowych recorded a season-high of seven saves.
Junior goalkeeper Ryan Gross started in net in the 2-0 loss to Navy on Sept. 30. Gross tied a career-high of nine saves.Â
Through 11 games, Lehigh is averaging .91 goals, while letting up 1.45 goals. Junior forward Perry Kingson is leading the way for Lehigh with three goals.
Cooper Warren leads the way for Black Knights with five points (2G, 1A). Harrison Faulkner has started eight games in net. Faulkner has played 720 minutes and has recorded a 1.75 GAA.
Army leads the all-time series 23-22-7. The Black Knights won 2-1 last season. Kingson scored the lone goal for Lehigh.Â
Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.Â
Following Lehigh's matchup game against the Black Knights, the Mountain Hawks will hit the road again when they take on Drexel on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Philadelphia.Â
