BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Friday's edition of The Rivalry presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute determines the postseason fate of the Mountain Hawks. If Lafayette is victorious, Lehigh will not earn a Patriot League Tournament berth. If the Mountain Hawks earn a victory on Friday, they could clinch the third or fourth seed depending on results around the league.

The Mountain Hawks (9-7, 2-3 PL) went 0-2 last weekend, dropping contests to Bucknell and no. 20 UAlbany. Lehigh looks to get back on track when the Leopards come to Bethlehem on Friday.

Seniors Julia Gatelein (4 goals, 6 assists) and Lotte Smorenburg (5 goals, 4 assists) lead Lehigh with 14 points. Junior Guusje Hogendoorn tallies 10 points with four goals and two assists.

Lafayette (10-5, 4-1 PL) leads the all-time series 41-16-3, with the Mountain Hawks earning a thrilling 3-2 victory last season. Senior Abbie Brown scored all three goals in the victory in Easton. Lehigh has won the last three meetings in the series.

Junior Lineke Spaans leads the Leopards with 10 goals and eight assists. First-year Stella Malinowski is having an impressive rookie campaign, scoring eight goals and dishing two assists to earn Patriot League Rookie of the Week four times.

Lafayette has already clinched a berth in the Patriot League Tournament, slotted in second behind American.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. from Ulrich Field. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
