Women's Track and Field Ready for Two Meet Weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's track and field team is hitting the road for two meets this weekend. Some Mountain Hawks will head to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic while others will remain in Bethlehem to compete in Moravian's Greyhound Invitational. 

The multis will kick off competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Thursday. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. with the decathlon 100m race. Competition will end in Lewisburg on Saturday with the men's 4x400 relay starting at 5:40 p.m. 

The Greyhound Invitational will be held on Friday at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field. The meet will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's pole vault. 

Lehigh is coming off of a weekend filled with several solid performances. Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks was senior Teasha McKoy and first-year Randi Conroy, who both won Patriot League awards for their efforts last weekend. McKoy was named Women's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the discus with a mark of 48.99m. Her throw is currently the second-best mark in the league. 

Conroy came in second in the pole vault on Saturday with a new personal best of 3.70m. The first-year is currently ranked second all-time in Lehigh history and has the fifth-best mark in the league. 

Sophomore Jordyn Hock continued to put up impressive times on the track. Hock won the 200m with a new personal best of 25.24 and also finished the 100m with a time of 12.72. She was named Patriot League Honorable Mention for her efforts last weekend. 

In the field, Lehigh continued to improve their marks, finishing with seven PRs. Senior Veronica Meyer and first-year Karina Roze both earned new personal records in the hammer throw. Meyer finished second with a PR of 50.74m while Roze finished with a new PR of 38.51m. 

Rachel Sequeria finished Saturday with a first-place finish in the triple jump. The junior finished with a mark of 11.01m. Sophomore Nina Cialone followed suit, finishing fourth with a mark of 10.84m.
