McKoy and Conroy Named Patriot League Athletes of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following Lehigh's participation in the Lehigh Invite on Saturday, Teasha McKoy and Randi Conroy received weekly Patriot League awards. McKoy won Women's Field Athlete of the Week while Conroy won Women's Rookie of the Week.Â
Competing in three of the four throws events, McKoy had solid performances in her first home meet of the outdoor season. The Philadelphia native went on to win the discus with a new personal record of 48.99m, making her second all-time in Lehigh history. McKoy also finished fifth in the hammer throw (47.80m) and ninth in the shot put (12.57m).Â
The first-year Conroy made her debut at Goodman Track and Field Complex on Saturday and finished with an impressive performance in the pole vault. The Allendale, N.J. native finished second in her second outdoor meet of the season. Conroy recorded a new personal best of 3.70m to become tied for second all-time.Â
The duo will look to continue their success this weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic and Greyhound Invitational. Some members of the Lehigh track and field team will travel to Moravian to compete at the Greyhound Invitational on Friday, April 15. Others will head to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic on April 15-16.Â
