
Lehigh Looks to Keep It Going vs. La Salle

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team will look to keep the momentum rolling vs. La Salle on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Philadelphia.
The Mountain Hawks are 3-5 after picking up their most recent win on Wednesday in an 81-67 victory vs. Rider. Frannie Hottinger and Mackenzie Kramer combined for more than 50% of Lehigh's points. Hottinger had a career-high of 34 points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds.
Kramer finished with 26 points.
La Salle is 5-3 and is coming off a 72-59 loss to Penn. La Salle defeated Drexel 77-74, which the Mountain Hawks also faced, but suffered an 84-61 loss.
Saturday's game will be a battle of two teams who love to shoot the three. Lehigh is leading the nation in three-point field goals made per game (11.4), and La Salle is 33rd in the nation (8.5).
The Mountain Hawks rank 11th in the nation in three-point attempts per game (29.5), and the Explorers are 22nd (27.1).
Lehigh is 4-11 all-time against La Salle. The Mountain Hawks have lost the last three games. The latest meeting came in 2017, where the Explorers won 69-61 in the championship game of the Christmas City Classic.
Kramer and Hottinger are the two Lehigh players to be averaging double figures. Hottinger, who is 16th in the nation in points per game, is averaging 21. 0 points, and Kramer is 31st in the nation. The junior is averaging 19. 6 points.
There are only two schools in the nation with two players in the top 50 in the nation in scoring, Lehigh and Drexel.
Three Explorers are averaging double figures.
La Salle's Kayla Spruill leads the way in scoring (13.8) in, Claire Jacobs is second (12.4), and Gabby Crawford is third (10.4)
Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
This will be Lehigh's last game until hosting Delaware on Dec. 18. The team will be on a break for finals.
