BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After one of the most explosive offensive efforts in program history, the Lehigh women's basketball team remains home on Saturday to face Boston University in a rematch of the 2021 Patriot League Championship Game at Stabler Arena, with tip-off set for 2 p.m.

Lehigh put together an elite performance against Navy on Wednesday, scoring 99 points in a 99-65 victory over the Midshipmen at Stabler Arena. The total was the second-most in program history and the most-ever scored by a women's basketball team at Stabler Arena.

Finishing just a single point shy of the century mark, the Mountain Hawks nearly eclipsed the 100-point plateau for just the second time in program history, as 103 remains the single-game record, set back on Feb. 3, 1977 against Albright.

Megan Walker led the way with a season-high 22 points on a career-high nine field goals in the victory over the Midshipmen as Emma Grothaus scored 17 points and first years Ella Stemmer (15) and Meghan O'Brien (13) followed her up with outstanding nights.

From a ball distribution side of things, Lehigh tallied 24 assists as a team on 40 field goals, the third-most assists this season. Clair Steele and Mackenzie Kramer both tallied six dimes in the win, a career-high for the latter.

There's only one unbeaten team in the Patriot League left and it's Boston University, who have won each of its first six games of the league schedule.

The Terriers are 10-7 overall, but just 3-5 on the road this year. They're coming off a dominant 65-47 home win over Loyola on Wednesday, as four players scored in double-figures.

Maggie Pina led the way with 17 points, Liz Shean and Sydney Johnson added 16 and Emily Espositio finished with 11 as BU played with just seven players in the 18-point win over the Greyhounds. Defensively, Maren Durant was excellent with four steals, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

BU shot 41.4 percent from the field and 45 percent (9-for-20) from beyond-the-arc.  The win allowed the Terriers to improve to 6-0 to start the league slate for the first time since 2012-13 in the America East.

Johnson remains Boston U's leading scorer at 14.6 points per game, while Caitlin Weimar (who missed Wednesday's contest vs. Loyola) is second at 9.4. First year Alex Giannaros also missed Wendesday's game and is third on the squad at 8.7 points per game.

Despite Lehigh being statistically the league's best 3-point shooting team for the second year in a row, the Terriers lead the Patriot League in 3-point field goal percentage at 35.0 percent. It's also the 43rd best number in the nation.

Boston U. also has the top player in the league for assist-turnover ratio in Johnson, who has an average of 1.67.

The Mountain Hawks have had a pretty good history with Boston University over the years as Saturday marks the 19th all-time meeting between the two schools.

The all-time series is tied, 9-9 including an 8-6 edge to Lehigh in Patriot League contests.

Lehigh has won two of the last three matchups including last March in the Patriot League title game. The Mountain Hawks topped the Terriers at Stabler Arena back on Jan. 8, 2020 by a score of 51-34.

Saturday's matchup is set to be streamed live on ESPN+ (subscription required) with Matt Markus on the play-by-play call. Tickets can be purchased through LehighTickets.com or by calling 610-7LU-GAME.
