
Nearly a year later, Lehigh competes at Monmouth Hawk Spring Series

LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Playing its first competitive round in 363 days, the Lehigh women's golf team turned in a round of 354 Monday at the one-day Monmouth Hawk Spring Series #1 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Freshman Sophie Holland was the low Mountain Hawk, shooting 84 as Lehigh finished in sixth place in a seven-team field.
Holland's 84 placed her in a tie for 13th place. Behind her was senior Angela Ding, who carded an 88 and tied for 24th place.
Sophomores Iris Shin and Hannah Foster both shot 91 and tied for 31st place. Classmate Marina Mendez finished in 41st place.
St. John's won the team title at 29 over par 317 beating host Monmouth by 11 strokes. Sacred Heart finished third at 337.
Monmouth's Elizabeth McCook was the individual medalist shooting four over par 76 to beat two St. John's players by one stroke.
The Mountain Hawks will next play in the Knights Shootout, hosted by FDU, which has been pushed back a week to March 21 at Watchung Valley Country Club in Watchung, N.J.
