BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's soccer team will get an up-close look at the Patriot League's finest squad in 2021 so far, as the Black Knights visit the Ulrich Sports Complex Saturday night at 6 p.m. Lehigh's fifth home matchup of the season will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Mountain Hawks (0-8-1, 0-3-0 PL) are looking to break a nine-game winless streak, the program's longest in 83 years.

The team fell in heartbreaking fashion on Wednesday night, as Bucknell picked up the overtime victory on a golden goal in the 95th minute of action. Lehigh defense held the Bison without a goal through two halves as sophomore Blake Koski collected two saves on 10 shots faced in his return to the net.

Scoring has come at a premium this season as the Mountain Hawks have been held without a goal for the last 274 minutes of action. The last Lehigh goal scorer was junior Dominic Flowers, who netted his second career score in the third minute against Loyola Maryland on Sept. 18.

Despite not scoring since his header at FDU on Sept. 14, senior forward Josh Luchini remains the team-leader in goals with two, adding one assist. Wednesday also saw the first career start for Yoni Aidlberg, who played 78 minutes on defense for the Mountain Hawks.

The Black Knights (6-2-1, 3-0-0 PL) have earned three consecutive league victories to open the new campaign with wins over Colgate, Bucknell and Boston University, out-scoring those teams 7-1. With just two road games under its belt, Army is 1-0-1 away from home this season.

Army West Point has out-scored opponents 22-9 this season, averaging 2.44 goals per game in nine contests.

Oscar Pereira has been outstanding this season with five goals and five assists for 15 points so far. Andrew Guerra has had four goals and Brandon Bryant has three. Cooper Warren has three assists to his name so far, the most on the squad.

Jacob Suppiah is back in net for the Black Knights this season, registering a goals against average of 1.35 with 23 saves in six starts. He also has accumulated two of Army's four shutouts this season.

Army leads the all-time series over Lehigh, 22-21-7, but hasn't gotten a win since Oct. 8, 2016. The Mountain Hawks played the Black Knights to a 0-0 draw on Oct. 5, 2019 and won the previous two matchups. Lehigh has out-scored Army, 4-0 in the last three meetings.

For any spectators who prefer Physically-Distanced seating, the section at the North end of the bleachers is marked with physically-distanced signage.
