Mountain Hawks' fall schedule to feature four home doubleheaders

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh softball team has officially announced its 2019 fall schedule. The Mountain Hawks will host Saint Joseph's (Sept. 15), La Salle (Sept. 22), Kutztown (Sept. 29) and East Stroudsburg (Oct. 5). All four dates will feature doubleheaders at Leadership Park and with action on all four dates beginning at 12 p.m.
"We ended the 2019 spring season with tremendous momentum," said head coach Fran Troyan. "We are looking forward to building on that momentum this fall. It will be fun to play four home doubleheaders to see how the newcomers mesh and compete with our returners."
Lehigh finished reached the championship round of the Patriot League Tournament for the second straight year, bowing out to Boston University. The Mountain Hawks are starting to prepare for the 2019 season, as they look to make a run at a 15th league title in the spring. Lehigh has 14 returning players from last season including first team All-Patriot League selections Mary-Hannah Smith and Jaelynn Chesson. Four freshmen join the program and will be competing in their first college softball games this fall.
