Mountain Hawks Get First Road Challenge - Travel To Central Connecticut State

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's basketball program ships off on the road for the first time this weekend as the Mountain Hawks visits the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State this Saturday for an 11 a.m. battle in New Britain, Conn.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 73-39 victory over Kutztown University that saw three players, senior Hailey Pascoe, junior Camryn Buhr and freshman Emma Grothaus record double digits in scoring. Grothaus also recorded her first career double-double with as a Mountain Hawk, as she put up 13 points and 11 rebounds against the Golden Bears.
Recording 12 points in her first game back since the 2016-17 season, Pascoe looked sharp in her 17 minutes of action.
Lehigh also saw its bench get involved in a big way, with 37 points being contributed. The Mountain Hawks had a single game high of 38 points come from the bench last season against Mansfield.
ALL-TIME VS. CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
It's been a while since these two squads last faced each other, with the Mountain Hawks last facing the Blue Devils on December 2, 1990. That game resulted in a close contest, with the Blue Devils slipping past the Mountain Hawks 70-68. Overall, Central Connecticut leads 3-0 in the all-time series.

IF CENTRAL CONNECTICUT WINS
Central Connecticut will be coming into Saturday with a 0-1 record after falling to Brown University 68-65 Tuesday in Providence, R.I. The Blue Devils are coming off an 7-23 season, where all seven of those wins came in conference play.
Against Brown, Kiana Patterson was the driving force for the Blue Devils offense, as she put up 21 points in 36 minutes, both team highs. Central Connecticut also saw Ashley Berube and Emma McCamus drop 10 points each.
