LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Lucas Warning shattered his own school shot put record on Friday night to help lead the Lehigh men's track and field team to a second place finish out of six teams at the Bucknell Tune-Up. In total, the Mountain Hawks picked up four individual victories and one runner-up finish to earn 115.25 team points in their final meet ahead of next weekend's Patriot League Championships.

Warning's winning shot put of 18.25 meters marks the third time he has rewritten the record book this season. He holds the three furthest shot puts in the Patriot League this year and is still the only PL shot putter to top the 18-meter mark this season. Nationally, the toss ranks him 33rd in the NCAA qualifying rankings and he now holds the 10 furthest indoor shot puts in school history. Friday's throw was 16 centimeters ahead of his previous high mark and was exactly one meter in front of the meet's second place finisher.

The Brown and White also picked up three additional wins on the evening from freshman Joe Espinal (500m), sophomore Clay Stabolepszy (800m) and junior Fritz Isaac (60h). Freshman Joey Kelly added a runner-up showing in the pole vault.

Fresh off his school record performance last weekend, Isaac nearly did it again in the 60m hurdles on Friday, coming within one hundredth of a second of his school record to take home first place in 8.22 seconds. Trevor Knowles set a new PR of 8.44 seconds to finish third.

Michael Camera placed third in 7.10 seconds in the 60 meter dash, and James Clements (51.27) picked up team points for his third place finish in the 400m dash. Espinal (1:06.06) picked up the first collegiate win of his career by breaking the tape in the 500m, where Tom Troxell (1:08.43) also scored team points in third place.

Stabolepszy hit an IC4A qualifier and grabbed the full 10 team points with his 800m victory of 1:55.99. Christopher Mascetti (3rd/2:32.71) and Mitchell Daddario (4th/2:36.86) both picked up points in the 1,000m, and Henry Paul (5th/8:42.92) led LU in the 3K.

The Lehigh 4x400 relay team also made the top three, with Daddario, Espinal, David Fletcher and Mascetti combining for a third place finish.

In the jumps, Kelly took second in the vault at 3.55m, one centimeter shy of his season-high, Daniel Reichenbach took third in the long jump (6.50m), and Isaac (13.93m) also competed in the triple jump, where he finished third.

In addition to Warning, Lehigh also got points for a third place, personal record shot put from Christopher Foley (15.48m).

With all of the regular season meets in the rearview mirror, Lehigh will now focus on next weekend's league championships, which will be held Fri-Sun., Feb. 17-19 at Boston University. Check back to Lehighsports.com throughout the week for updates and coverage leading up to the championship meet.
