Lehigh Travels to Nationally-Ranked Virginia for Tuesday Tilt

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's soccer team will break away from Patriot League competition when the Mountain Hawks travel to Charlottesville for a matchup against No. 11 Virginia on Tuesday. Kickoff is slated for a 7 p.m. start from Klöckner Stadium. The game can be viewed live for free on ACC Extra (WatchESPN).

Lehigh (7-3-1, 2-1-1 PL) is unbeaten in seven of its last eight games and fresh off a 1-0 victory over Navy. Junior Alex Greene's game-winning goal in the 82nd second minute gave the Mountain Hawks their second victory in league competition. The Navy defender's clearing attempt was deflected into the goal by Greene who swung his foot up in the air while still on the ground. Senior Joe Bogan notched a shutout in his first start and appearance of the season.

Junior forward Mark Forrest enters Tuesday's game as the Patriot League leader in goals scored (8) and points (20) while senior Doyle Tuvesson has tallied a league-high eight assists.

Virginia (8-1-2) enters Tuesday's tilt on a four-game unbeaten streak. The Cavaliers' only loss on the year came to ACC foe No. 4 North Carolina in overtime. Virginia defeated Boston College 1-0 in its last matchup.

The Cavaliers' attack is led by Edward Opoku, who leads the team in goals (6) and points (14). Opoku was a Second-Team All-American honoree in 2016 and ranked 13th in the country for game-winning goals last season. Jeff Caldwell has played every minute in goal for the Cavaliers. The two-time All-ACC goalkeeper has tallied 32 saves with a 0.94 goals against average.
