BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh field hockey team looks to snap a three-game losing skid on Friday night when it remains home to host archrival Lafayette at 7 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will look to snap a 13-game losing streak against the Leopards, one season after holding a lead deep into the game at Lafayette. Lehigh is coming off a pair of defeats this past weekend at Bucknell and vs. Yale. Freshman Drew Pecora scored both of the Mountain Hawks' goals on the weekend to earn Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors.

Pecora scored in the 17th minute at Bucknell Friday and 41st minute vs. Yale Sunday, both coming off penalty corners. The Mountain Hawks dropped a competitive 3-1 final against the Bison, allowing Bucknell just three second-half shots. Pecora now leads the team in points this season with seven and is tied for the team lead in goals with three.

Lehigh is 2-9 on the season, 0-3 in Patriot League play. A win this Friday would put the Mountain Hawks right back in the mix, fighting for a potential Patriot League Tournament berth.

Lafayette stands 5-5 on the season, 1-1 in league play following a 9-0 defeat at No. 8 Delaware. In Patriot League play, the Leopards have defeated Colgate (3-2 in overtime), while falling at No. 24 Boston University (5-1). They have dropped four straight games overall heading into Friday's contest. Ellen Colbourne leads the team in points with eight (three goals, two assists) while Grace Angelella, Rosie Shanks and Caroline Turnbull each have three goals and six points. Sam Di Maio leads the Leopards with three assists while Turnbull owns a defensive save. Sarah Park has started all 10 games in goal, recording a 3.63 goals against average and 0.616 save percentage.

The Leopards lead the all-time series with Lehigh, 39-12-3 as the Mountain Hawks search for their first win vs. Lafayette since Sept. 30, 2005, a 1-0 victory in Easton. Lehigh's last home win vs. the Leopards came the year prior via a 4-2 final on Oct. 27, 2004. Last season, the Mountain Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute following a Lauren Dice penalty stroke goal, but Lafayette came back with goals in the 59th and 65th minutes to pull out the 2-1 victory.

Following Friday's action, Lehigh will head to Lock Haven next Saturday (Oct. 14) before hosting Georgetown on Sunday (Oct. 15). Both games will begin at 1 p.m.
