Mountain Hawks Compile NFHCA Academic Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Lehigh tallied both team and individual awards as the NFHCA announced its academic awards following the 2025 season. 12 Mountain Hawks were featured on the National Academic Squad, along with four being named Scholars of Distinction. Lehigh also received the 2025 Division I National Academic Team Award.
Samantha Hillman, Evelyn Melograna, Annabelle Strange and Riley Thurston were part of 341 student-athletes named Division I Scholars of Distinction.
This honor celebrates student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
Hillman, Melograna, Strange and Thurston joined Annie Bibus, Renee Blake, Lela Boermeester, Maddie Kandra, Kiki Mes, Madison Noh, KK Sauve and Ella Stephenson on the Division I National Academic Squad. Both Mes and Boermeester were named to the squad all four years.
This prestigious acknowledgment is reserved for individuals who have achieved an outstanding cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, nominated by their devoted NFHCA member coaches.
Lehigh was one of 60 teams who earned the National Academic Team Award.
This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.50 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
