
Lehigh closes out regular season at Holy Cross Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team wraps up the regular season when the Mountain Hawks head to Holy Cross Saturday at 11 a.m.
Lehigh carries a 13-5 overall record and 4-3 mark in Patriot League play into Saturday's matinee. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 7-0 win over rival Lafayette in their most recent match Monday. Lehigh has earned Patriot League victories over Loyola (7-0), Colgate (4-3), Bucknell (4-3) and Lafayette this season, while falling to Navy (4-3), Army (4-1) and Boston University (4-1).
Sophomore Jack Petersen has led Lehigh this season with a 15-2 overall singles record and a 6-1 mark against league foes. Junior Colin Nardella has gone 5-1 in Patriot League singles play, while Jeremy Kochman has picked up eight wins at the top flight of singles this season. Freshman George Cooper has earned five doubles victories against league foes, while Petersen has secured four.
Holy Cross is 1-8 overall this spring and 0-4 against league opponents. The Crusaders have dropped 7-0 matches to Boston University, Colgate and Army while falling 4-3 to Lafayette. The Crusaders picked up their lone win of the spring season in their most recent match against American International Tuesday by a score of 6-1.
Lehigh and Holy Cross will be meeting for the first time since April 19, 2013 when the Mountain Hawks defeated the Crusaders 4-0 in the Patriot League Quarterfinals en route to the 2013 Patriot League Championship.
Following Saturday's match at Holy Cross, Lehigh will begin preparations for next weekend's Patriot League Tournament. The Mountain Hawks will host the four-day tournament beginning Thursday and running through Sunday at the Ulrich Varsity Courts.
