BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off a season-low offensive output at Stony Brook Tuesday, the Lehigh men's basketball team will look to get back on track Saturday when it travels to Mount St. Mary's. Opening tipoff is set for 4 p.m. The Mountain Hawks played their second straight strong defensive game Tuesday, but the offense couldn't get much going.

Senior Tim Kempton provided almost half of Lehigh's offense, finishing with 27 points in just 26 minutes due to foul trouble. He scored 16 of his points in the second half, finishing a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point range in the second half. Kempton's four made treys for the game was easily his career high, while he added nine rebounds to just miss his fifth double-double of the season. Kempton has scored 24 or more points in five of the eight games so far this season. Also on Tuesday, he moved up a spot in the Patriot League career rankings for both points and rebounds; Kempton currently stands 21st and fourth, respectively.

Junior Kahron Ross also contributed 11 points while dishing seven assists to move into sixth place in school history for career assists with 409. Sophomore Kyle Leufroy scored eight points while senior Austin Price had six as Lehigh's five starters accounted for all its points. Price also moved into 25th place in school history in career points, currently owning 1,102.

Turnovers proved costly as the Mountain Hawks finished with 19, 13 coming in the first half. Lehigh finished the game shooting 41 percent from the field and 42 percent from three-point range, connecting on 11 from distance. The Mountain Hawks only had 18 first-half field goal attempts and just 44 for the game. A bright spot was the Mountain Hawks' defense, which held the Seawolves to just 32 percent shooting from the field, a season-best for Lehigh's D.

Lehigh trailed by nine with less than two minutes remaining, but the Mountain Hawks knocked down three three-pointers within a one-minute span. The surge helped put Lehigh in position to tie the score as Leufroy took a three-pointer in the final seconds, which was off the mark. The loss marked the Mountain Hawks' third road defeat this season which came down to the final seconds of regulation, or overtime.

Lehigh will look to get back on track in the program's first-ever game at Mount St. Mary's this Saturday. The Mountain Hawks will look to continue their recent success against the Northeast Conference. Following last Saturday's win over Robert Morris, Lehigh is now 18-4 over its last 22 games against the NEC. Saturday marks the Mountain Hawks' final nonleague road game. Lehigh will close out the nonleague slate with home contests vs. Saint Francis (Pa.) on Dec. 12 and Cabrini on Dec. 22.

Mount St. Mary's enters Saturday's game with a 1-9 record, but that record has come against a challenging schedule. The Mountaineers have played at West Virginia, Iowa State, Minnesota, Michigan and Arkansas, along with earning their win at George Mason of the Atlantic 10. Since that win, Mount St. Mary's has lost six straight, most recently falling in its home opener vs. UMBC Wednesday by a 78-70 final. Elijah Long leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game after posting 7.4 points per game last season. Junior Robinson is at 11.0 points per contest. Out of the team's top four scorers last season, only Robinson returns. Mawdo Sallah leads the team in rebounding (6.8 per game) while Long leads the way in assists per contest at 3.8.

The two teams met for the first time last season with the Mountain Hawks pulling out an exciting 76-73 win in Stabler Arena.

Lehigh returns home on Monday to host Saint Francis (Pa.) at 7 p.m. in the team's final game before final exams.
