Saturday Head of the Charles Recap
BOSTON - The Lehigh rowing team had a strong showing at Sunday's Head of the Charles Regatta as the Men's Collegiate Fours finished 21st out of 43 crews to guarantee an entry into next year's regatta.
"The men raced hard and despite a collision less than 1,000 meters into the race, they posted a time that got them an entry into next year's regatta," said Lehigh head coach Brian Conley. "The great thing about today is that we know we can compete at this level."
The Mountain Hawks finished with a time of 19:15.042. The performance wrapped up a strong weekend for Lehigh at the prestigious Head of the Charles. On Saturday, the women's fours finished in the top half of its race, also guaranteeing an entry into next year's regatta.
Lehigh will return to action next Saturday when it hosts the Head of the Halloween on Lake Nockamixon in Quakertown, Pa.
