BETHLEHEM, Pa.—The Lehigh softball team will look to add to its six game winning streak on Wednesday when the Mountain Hawks travel down to Newark, Delaware, to face the Blue Hens in a doubleheader, with the first pitch for game one set for 3 p.m. from the UD Softball Stadium.

The Mountain Hawks have thrived so far this season, amassing a 15-3 overall record. Lehigh began last week with a doubleheader sweep of Penn on March 18. The team was led by a pair of upperclassmen who captured Player of the Week honors.

At the plate, junior Jessica Calvini flourished, going 5-for-6 in the two games with three runs scored and three runs batted in, including a 3-for-3 performance in the nightcap with the go-ahead two-RBI single. Calvini was named Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday. She is tied with junior Morgan Decker for the team lead with 11 RBI. Freshman Nicole Yozzo leads the Mountain Hawks in batting, with a .484 average through 18 games.

Senior Emily Bausher earned Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season and the eighth time in her career with her complete-game shutout in the first game against Penn. The complete-game shutout is Bausher's 18th of her career. With the performance on the circle, Bausher has lowered her ERA to a team-best 1.46.

Sophomore Christine Campbell has also pitched well, carrying a 7-1 record and 1.63 ERA into Wednesday's doubleheader with a team-best 56 innings pitched.

Lehigh was scheduled to open Patriot League play last weekend against Boston University but inclement weather and unplayable field conditions forced the postponement of all three games. The Mountain Hawks and Terriers will now play a doubleheader at Lehigh's Kaufman Field on Wednesday April 1 and a single game at Lehigh on Friday April 17.

Like Lehigh, Delaware has enjoyed a successful early season run. Delaware is 14-9 on the season including a 5-3 mark at home. Junior Lisa Stacevicz has emerged as one of Delaware's top hitters. Stacevicz has produced a .533 batting average on the season with a .900 slugging percentage. Last week, the New Jersey native earned CAA Co-Player of the Week honors for her 11-for-18 performance with seven doubles and seven RBIs.

Carolyn Szymanski has thrown the most innings for Delaware and holds a 9-4 record and a 2.91 ERA.

The Blue Hens lead the all-time series 35-21-1. Delaware spoiled Lehigh's 2014 season opener with a 2-1 win at the Citrus Classic.

After Lehigh's doubleheader against Delaware, the Mountain Hawks will commence Patriot League play with a three game series at Lafayette Saturday and Sunday.
