Why Lehigh? “I chose to attend Lehigh because of the amazing combination of athletics and education. It was the perfect balance.”
On Coach Troyan: “Coach Troyan is one of the most sincere and compassionate coaches I have ever met. He coaches at such a competitive level with so much success, but makes every practice and game fun. His humor and personality make it a pleasure to play for him.”
On the Lehigh softball experience: “The Lehigh softball experience is so much more than athletics, it is an immediate family. The support, encouragement, and loyalty on and off the field are indescribable.”
As a senior: Team captain... Academic All-Patriot League...moved to first base full-time after seeing time in outfield in previous three seasons... batted .333 with team-best 10 RBIs in league games... leads team with three triples overall... team-best 12 RBIs in home games... had five multi-hit games... game-winning RBI fielder’s choice in 10th inning vs. Holy Cross (5/7). .. led team with eight sacrifices… topped Patriot League getting hit by a pitch 11 times… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
As a junior: Second team All-Patriot League... Academic All-Patriot League... named to Patriot League All-Tournament team... starts in right field but also sees significant time at first base... hit walk-off RBI single in Patriot League Tournament vs. Bucknell (5/8)... hit grand slam in first inning of win over Boston U. (4/1)... belted two homers and drove in six in win at Colgate (5/2)... ripped three hits in wins over Georgetown (3/11), Penn (3/18) and Bucknell (4/5)… tripled and scored on an error in NCAA Tournament win over Central Arkansas (5/16)… had sacrifice fly versus Texas A&M in NCAA opener… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
As a sophomore: First team All-Patriot League... started all 50 games including 47 in left field and three at first base... ranked second on team with 11 doubles... and third with 28 RBI... named Patriot League Player of the Week on April 7 after going 4-for-9 with two home runs and five RBI in three game series at Boston University... went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI versus Marist (4/8)… made Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
As a freshman: Appeared in 33 games making 17 starts, primarily at first base… strong defensive first baseman… had ten hits and six RBI in 61 at-bats… went 1-for-1 with two RBI vs. Saint Peter’s (3/14)… went 2-for-3 in Patriot League starts vs. Holy Cross (4/21) and at Colgate (4/27)… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
In high school: Five-year All-Section performer… four-time All-State selection… first team All-State as a senior… New York State Class B Player of the Year… MSG Varsity Pitcher of the Year… Westchester Journal News Section Player of the Year… team captain… batted .521 with eight home runs and 46 RBI as a senior… finished high school career with 169 hits… recorded 852 strikeouts in the pitcher’s circle... member of National Honor Society… played travel softball for New Jersey Intensity.
Personal: Daughter of Joe and Donna... brother Jakob (20) … enjoys spending time with friends and family and watching movies.
