Mountain Hawks earn seven first-place finishes at Bucknell Tune-Up

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team turned out several successful performances in its final meet before next weekend's Patriot League Championships as the Mountain Hawks claimed seven first-place finishes at Friday's Bucknell Tune-Up.
Sophomore Daniel Boardman claimed the long jump title with a 6.60 meter leap and also finished tied for first in the high jump with a 2.00 meter jump. Freshman Michael Camera finished atop the podium in the triple jump with his mark of 13.25 meters. Junior Tyler John continued Lehigh's strong showing in the field events with a 4.50 meter pole vault that earned him first place. Sophomore Lucas Warning finished fourth in the shot put with an IC4A-qualifying heave of 16.53 meters.
Senior Simon Voorhees finished atop the podium in the mile run with a mark of 4:17.34, while freshmen John Tolbert (4:18.40) and Henry Paul (4:27.09) took third and fourth, respectively. Sophomore James Clements earned first place in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:06.68. Senior Nicholas Ward took home the 3,000 meter run title with a time of 8:38.50, while classmate Daniel Reilly followed right behind in third place (8:41.12).
Freshman Fritz Isaac picked up second place in the 60 meter hurdles after sprinting the finish line in 8.38 seconds, while classmate Jake Sabatini finished third in the 60 meter dash with a clip of 7.17 seconds. Seniors Mitchell Biler (2:28.50) and Stephen Keith (2:29.23) finished second and third, respectively, in the 1,000 meter run.
The 4x400 meter relay squad of Clements, Tom Troxell, Seamus Cullinane and Robert Smith finished second with a time of 3:28.84.
The Mountain Hawks will now turn their focus to preparing for next weekend's Patriot League Championships. The indoor league championship meet will take place from Feb. 20-22 at Navy.
