BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Former Lehigh standout and current member of the Portland Trail Blazers C.J. McCollum will put his degree to work at the NBA Draft on Thursday night. McCollum arrived in New York Wednesday evening and will be busy on Thursday conducting interviews, doing his weekly show for SiriusXM NBA Radio and more.
Â
Just one year after being the one anticipating his selection, McCollum will give fans perspective from the other side of things. McCollum will attend Thursday's dinner and interview commissioner Adam Silver like he did last year. He also has some things in the work for True Hoop ESPN with other opportunities potentially arising throughout the day.
Â
McCollum graduated from Lehigh in May of 2013 with a degree in Journalism. He has already enjoyed extensive experience in the field, writing a story for Sporting News "Why I'm returning to Lehigh for my senior year." He also wrote a piece for Sports Illustrated and hosts his radio show, among other things. At Lehigh, McCollum was a finalist for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award which encompasses on the court, in the classroom, in the community and in the leadership realm.

In just his second game, he scored 10 points in 14 minutes, shooting 4-of-6 from the field and 2-of-3 from three-point range. For the season, McCollum averaged 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 38 games.
