Three 4.0 GPAs lead Lehigh’s 33 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team landed 33 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Wednesday. Three Mountain Hawks earned perfect 4.0 GPAs during the spring semester as Lehigh's 33 Academic Honor Roll members were the second most in the league.
Seniors Kylie Gray (English) and Victoria Oliva (Psychology), along with junior Shannon Wright (Biology) each recorded 4.0 GPAs during the spring semester. Freshman Kaitlyn Ruffing, also a member of the Lehigh swimming and diving team, followed with a strong 3.93 GPA in her Biology major.
Three of Lehigh's individual Patriot League Champions also landed on the list. Senior Danielle Albergo, who claimed the indoor 500 meter run and outdoor 400 meter run Patriot League titles, tallied a strong 3.63 GPA in Supply Chain Management. Classmate Jessica Kendzor, the indoor and outdoor 800 meter run league champion, notched a 3.41 GPA in Finance, while sophomore Elizabeth Weiler tallied a mark of 3.20 in Bioengineering after winning the outdoor 10,000 meter run.
Of Lehigh's 33 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members, 20 Mountain Hawks earned GPAs of 3.6 of higher to qualify for Lehigh's Dean's List.
Bucknell led the way with 52 selections, while Lehigh followed in second with 33. Boston University (29), Lafayette (28), Loyola (24), Holy Cross (22) and Navy (20) also notched 20-plus members.
To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
The Mountain Hawks finished in second place at both the indoor and outdoor Patriot League Championship meets, their highest finishes in program history.
