BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's lacrosse juniors Matt Poillon and Dan Taylor, along with sophomore Tripp Telesco, have been named USILA All-Americans, as announced on Thursday morning. All three earned honorable mention recognition. Lehigh's three honorees mark the second most in the Patriot League, only behind Loyola's five. The league saw 13 recognized overall. There were also two honorees from Army and one each from Colgate, Bucknell and Navy.

Lehigh is up to 20 All-Americans in its program history, 10 coming over the last three seasons. Last year, Poillon, Ty Souders, David DiMaria and Mike Noone were recognized while in 2012, Poillon, Souders and Roman Lao-Gosney became Lehigh's first All-Americans since 1994.

Poillon continued his stellar play in 2014 despite battling an injury, posting a 7.23 GAA and 57.5 save percentage with a 12-5 record. He owns an impressive 37-11 record in his decorated career. Poillon recorded double-figure saves on eight occasions including all three games of the Patriot League Tournament to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. The Mount Sinai, New York native made a season-high 15 saves in the quarterfinals against Navy and had 14 stops in the championship game at #1 Loyola. He also had 12 saves in a thrilling early-season triple overtime victory over #20 Villanova to earn Patriot League Goalie of the Week honors. Since stepping foot on campus, Poillon has helped the Lehigh defense stand among the nation's best. He was a second team All-Patriot League honoree this season as three of the six All-American goalies came from the Patriot League.

Taylor enjoyed a breakout season, finishing with a team and Patriot League best 76 points behind 47 goals and 29 assists. The 76 points are good for fifth in league history and second in school history in the Patriot League era. He had at least four points in seven of his last eight games, including eight (four goals, four assists) in the Patriot League Semifinals against the nation's top-ranked defense Army. Taylor also had nine points at Lafayette, eight vs. Georgetown, seven against Holy Cross and eight vs. Navy. The Mountain Hawks were 5-0 in games when Taylor had seven or more points. Taylor also posted multiple points in the last eight games and 13 of 17 games on the year. He was named a first team All-Patriot League honoree and was a four-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, including the last three weeks of the regular season.

Telesco finished the season among the nation's leaders in caused turnovers (36). He started 17 games, adding 44 groundballs. The Ridgewood, New Jersey native had a monster game in the triple overtime win over #20 Villanova, posting seven groundballs and seven caused turnovers to earn Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week laurels. Telesco posted multiple caused turnovers in 11 of his 17 games played, including 11 over a three-game stretch against Monmouth, Holy Cross and Colgate. Telesco had at least one caused turnover in each of the last eight games as a member of a Lehigh defense which stands third nationally. The Mountain Hawks allowed seven or fewer goals in 13 of 18 games on the year.

The Mountain Hawks reached their third straight Patriot League Championship Game in 2014, finishing 13-5. Lehigh was within one win of tying the school record of 14 victories (set in 2012) and are now 39-13 over the last three seasons. The Mountain Hawks defeated Navy and Army in the Patriot League Tournament, including a thrilling last-second win over the Black Knights in the semifinals.
