Women's Track and Field Predicted Third in Preseason Poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League preseason indoor track and field polls have been announced just before Lehigh kicks off it's season at Rauch Fieldhouse Friday evening. The Lehigh women's squad was predicted to finish third, as voted on by the league's head coaches and sports info directors.
Boston University has been predicted to win the indoor championship with 162 points and 18 first place votes. Boston University is followed by Bucknell with 137 points and two first place votes. The women of Lehigh are predicted to finish in third place this year with 126 point. Following Lehigh is Navy with 123 points, Army with 95, Holy Cross with 88, Lafayette with 67, Colgate with 40, Loyola with 37 and American with 25.
Boston University took home last year's title with Lehigh right behind as the Patriot League runner up. The second place finish was Lehigh's best finish in school history.
The Mountain Hawks begin their indoor season on Friday at 5 p.m. with the multi events, and Saturday at 10 a.m. with the rest of the events, at Rauch Fieldhouse on the Goodman Campus.
