Pair of Mountain Hawks selected to Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh track and field junior Jimil Ataman and senior Lauren Pietrosh were named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced Monday. The two Mountain Hawks are among a group of 10 athletes that hold a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.45. A History major, Ataman has held a 3.55 cumulative GPA while Pietrosh has maintained a 3.90 cumulative GPA in marketing during her career.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
The NCAA Championships begin with the east regional May 23-25 in Greensboro, N.C. Selections to the competition will be announced at 1 p.m. Thursday. The major award winners and remaining members of the Academic All-Patriot League Team are listed below:
