BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh placed men's 72 student-athletes on the Patriot League winter/spring Academic Honor Rolls announced by the league on Tuesday. Mountain Hawk male student-athletes comprised 72 of the 570 student-athletes named to the list, less than a week after 93 Lehigh women's student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a 3.20 or higher grade point average during the academic semester which coincides with his sport. Tuesday's announcement covered baseball, men's basketball, men's golf, men's lacrosse, men's swimming and diving, men's tennis and men's track and field.

Lehigh was led by its men's track and field program, which totaled 19 honor roll selections, followed close behind by men's lacrosse with 18 and men's swimming and diving with 12. The baseball program had ten selections, while men's basketball, men's tennis and men's golf had six, five and two selections respectively.

Both the men's basketball and men's lacrosse programs enjoyed strong semesters academically, while also capturing Patriot League Championships and advancing to the NCAA tournament. The men's lacrosse team also accounted for the two Lehigh male student-athletes to earn 4.0 GPAs in the spring: junior defenseman Baxter Lanius and freshman attackman Klay Heston.

Among men's sports, Lehigh had one student-athlete voted Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the winter/spring seasons: junior Andrew Krentz from men's tennis, who posted a 3.93 GPA this spring in Lehigh's IDEAS (Integrated Degree in Engineering and Arts and Sciences) program.

Five of Lehigh's academic honor roll selections were voted to Academic All-Patriot League teams at the conclusion of their regular seasons. This group includes Krentz, plus senior Cory Kent from baseball, senior Roman Lao-Gosney and sophomore Ty Souders from men's lacrosse and senior Kyle Forrest from track and field.

A total of 570 student-athletes were named to the men's winter/spring Academic Honor Rolls. The 72 Mountain Hawks ranked third among league schools. The 72 men and 93 women honored last week give Lehigh 165 Academic Honor Roll selections from the winter and spring seasons.
