BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final meet of the outdoor season, the Lehigh women's track and field team will compete at the ECAC Championships Friday through Sunday in Princeton, N.J. The Mountain Hawks will send 19 student-athletes to the meet as they will try to qualify for the NCAA Regionals and earn All-East honors. The team surpassed the previous record of 47.64 set in 2011 and their time was just 0.06 seconds off the league Outdoor Championship record time.
The Mountain Hawks' second First Team All-League performance came from Brooke Astor as she won the decathlon with 4,749 points, crushing the previous Patriot League Outdoor Championships record of 4,525.

Jessica Kendzor placed second in the 800m run and was also part of the 4x400m relay team along with Danielle Albergo, Smith and Kristin Slotnick that placed second. Katherine Pierce was second in the 10,000m. Doersam also earned Second Team honors after placing second in the long jump. In addition to individual events, all three relays (4x100, 4x400 and 4x800) will compete this weekend as well.
Pierce's 10,000m time of 35:05.94 is close to qualifying her for the NCAA Regionals which will take place in Jacksonville, Fla. May 25-26. Lemon and Ataman, whom will both compete in the hammer throw, will look to bump up their marks in order for a shot to qualify as well.
In last year's ECAC Championships, Lehigh placed 21st with 15 points, which was the highest ECAC finish in the program's history as the Mountain Hawks earned four All-East performances from Astor, Pierce, the 4x800 relay team of Alex Neville, Perry, Lauren Pietrosh and Kendzor, and Emily Settle.
