BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After coming up short against the top two teams in the Patriot League, the Lehigh women's tennis team picked up its first league win of the season on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks held off Colgate 4-3. The Mountain Hawks won the doubles point and added three singles wins to improve to 4-12 overall and 1-2 in league matches.

Lehigh opened the match by taking the first two doubles flights to take the early 1-0 lead. Sophomore Jenai Bilimoria teamed with freshman Abby Farrell to win 8-3 over Alex Petrini and Stephanie Brown at No. 1 singles, and then junior Liz Piscitelli teamed with freshman Gabby Drucker to clinch the doubles point with an 8-6 win over Kelsey Shea and Kelsey Wanhainen at No. 2 doubles.

Brown put Colgate on the board with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Piscitelli at No. 3 singles, but Lehigh answered by capturing the top two singles flights to lead 3-1. Bilimoria won 6-1, 6-2 over Petrini and Farrell downed Shea 6-4, 6-2.

The Raiders climbed back within a point at 3-2 as Wanhainen outlasted sophomore Kathleen Larkin in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, but Drucker clinched the match for the Mountain Hawks with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Merideth Rock at No. 5 singles.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action Wednesday when they travel to Bucknell to face the Bison at 3:30 p.m.
