Lemon wins third straight PL weekly award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the third straight week and seventh time in her career, junior E'lana Lemon was named the Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the League on Monday. Lemon finished first in the weight throw with a distance of 16.63m to lead Lehigh to a first-place finish in a six-team meet at Army Saturday.

Lemon's first place earned Lehigh 10 points as the Mountain Hawks finished with 142 points to defeat Monmouth (120.5), Patriot League foe Army (96.5), Columbia (77), Williams (59) and Rider (55).
The West Orange, N.J. native is now 3-0 in the weight throw this year. On December 2nd at the Season Opener, Lemon threw an ECAC-qualifying distance of 17.57m, well surpassing the 16.00m needed and a week later at the Fast Times Before Finals, she again threw an ECAC-qualifying distance of 17.65m.
Lemon and the rest of the Mountain Hawks return to action at the Rauch Fieldhouse Friday as Lehigh hosts the Mountain Hawk Multi Invite at 5 p.m. The meet will continue Saturday at 9 a.m.
