Mountain Hawks drop tough match to Delaware

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team dropped a tough 7-0 decision to the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens at the Lewis Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon. Delaware swept all three doubles matches and six singles matches, winning all the singles matches in two sets.
With the loss the Mountain Hawks fall to 0-3 on the season.
Georgetown swept all three doubles matches, winning by scores of 8-2, 8-3, and 8-4. In singles play, the Blue Hens won a 6-0, 6-0 match at No. 5 and a 6-1, 6-0 dual at No. 6. Freshman Jenai Bilimoria hanged tough for Lehigh, as she lost her match to Dorothy Safron, 6-4, 6-2. Taylor Hampshire came close to winning the second set in the No. 1 bout, losing to Megan Doran, 6-1, 7-5.
The Mountain Hawks will return to the Lewis Tennis Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. as they take on Towson.
