Baseball launches partnership organization at NYC event

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - This past week, Lehigh launched the newly-formed Lehigh Baseball Partnership, at the team's annual New York City alumni event. This year's event took place at Lucky Strikes Lanes and Lounge in Manhattan. Over 50 guests were in attendance including the current team's senior class, the Lehigh baseball coaching staff and baseball alumni spanning the decades. Lehigh Hall of Famer and former Major League pitching standout Paul Hartzell '75 hosted the event for the 5th consecutive year.
The Lehigh Baseball Partnership will be lead by former 2nd baseman Mark Strauch '92, who will serve as the organizations Alumni Ambassador. Christoper Querns '96 and David Angstreich '96 will also serve as Committee Chairs. Baseball is the most recent sports-specific Partnership to launch under the umbrella of the Lehigh Athletics Partnership. The group will hold its next event here in the Lehigh Valley at Sangria restaurant in Allentown on Thursday March 3rd at 6pm. All friends and family of Lehigh Baseball are invited to attend. Until then, keep up with the Brown and White on Lehighsports.com. The Mountain Hawks will open their season on February 25-27 with three consecutive games in Davidson, N.C. While there, Lehigh will face Ohio and Davidson.
