Mountain Hawks complete competition at Armory Collegiate Series

NEW YORK, N.Y. – In its eighth event of the season, the Lehigh men's and women's track and field wrapped up play at the Armory Collegiate Series in New York, N.Y on Saturday. The men's team finished in a solid fifth place finish while the women's team took tenth.
On the women's side, Jessica Kendzor took a top 10 finish as she placed 10th in the 800 meter run, posting a time of 2:17.18. In the field events, Krista Belick finished fifth in the pole vault, posting a distance 3.40 meters. E'Lana Lemon continued her strong efforts this year as she placed fouth in the weight throw at a distance of 16.76 meters.
Over on the men's side, Devin Monroe finished ninth in the men's 200 meter dash with a time of 22.85 seconds. In the 400 meter dash, Ifeanyi Edochie had a 50.28 finals time, good enough for eighth. Lehigh was also strong in the 500 meter dash, as John Ciaverdelli had a fifth-place finish, clocking a time of 1:05.82.
In the men's 1000 meter run, Kyle O'Connor's 2:27.98 timing gave him a sixth-place finish in that event. Evans Kosgei finished eighth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8:26.40.

Over in the field events, Patrick Ciez had a 2.04 meter high jump, which was good for a fourth place finish in that event. Stephen Tutunjian placed third in the long jump with a distance of 6.86 meters. Tutunjian's day was not over, as he finished second in the triple jump as well, with a distance of 14.24 meters. Christopher Buck capped off the day for Lehigh, as he finished secnd in the weight throw with a final distance of 16.35 meters.
