Lehigh No. 7, six wrestlers ranked

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh rates No. 7 in the nation in the latest Intermat Top 25 Poll. Additionally six of Lehigh’s 10 starters rate in the top 20 at their weight, including four in the top 10.
Junior All-American Jon Trenge is the Mountain Hawks highest ranked grappler, holding the No. 2 position at 197. The next four highest ranked Lehigh wrestlers are all freshmen. Troy Letters is ranked No. 6 at 165, followed by Derek Zinck at No. 8 in the 157 lb. class and Cory Cooperman, who occupies the No. 9 position at 133. Travis Frick and junior Brad Dillon are the only two ranked Mountain Hawks not in their weight’s top 10. Frick is ranked No. 17 at 184, while Dillon was chosen the No. 17 wrestler at 174.
This week is the second week in a row that Lehigh has been ranked No. 7 by Intermat. The top six ahead of the Mountain Hawks all stayed the same. Oklahoma St. once again gets the nod as the nation’s top squad, followed by Iowa and Minnesota. Oklahoma and Ohio St. round out the top five, while Michigan ranks sixth.
Lehigh returns to action on December 28-29 when they take part in the Midlands Tournament at Northwestern University.
