Trenge vs. Sanderson, part two

Lehigh's Jon Trenge will wrestle in the NWCA All-Star Classic Monday January 28th at Hofstra. Trenge, ranked second in the nation, will face top ranked Cael Sanderson of Iowa State in the 197 lb weight class. This is the second time the two will meet in just one month. Trenge's only loss of the season came at the hands of Sanderson. Trenge, 16-1, fell to Sanderson 16-5 at Midlands. Sanderson, arguably the best wrestler in modern history, has yet to be defeated in his collegiate career. The win over Trenge was his 137th straight victory.
Trenge is eager to end that streak and hand Sanderson his first loss. His game plan is easy, "beat him". "I got a gauge for him the first time, now I have a better idea of what I need to do, " said Trenge.
Trenge will be the fourth Lehigh wrestler that head coach Greg Strobel coached to the All-Star Classic. Jon Van Doran wrestled in the All-Star Classic during the 1998-99 season. Dave Esposito made two appearances, in 1999-00 and 2000-01 under the guide of Strobel.
The All-Star meet is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Hofstra.
