Lehigh hosts Penn State

Lehigh returns home after suffering a tough loss to Big 10 powerhouse, Michigan on Friday night. The Brown and White look for their first win of 2002 against one of their oldest rivals, Penn State. Lehigh, ranked 13th nationally will host the Nittany Lions, ranked 17th nationally, Sunday January 6th in Grace Hall.
Penn State currently leads the all-time series, earning 55 wins in 86 meetings. During the 2000-01 campaign Lehigh met Penn State twice, for the first time in nearly 50 seasons. The first time the teams met last season, Lehigh suffered an 18-17 dramatic upset to Penn State, before a crowd of 2,290. However when the two teams met for the second time Penn State came up short-handed. The Mountain Hawks dominated the Nittany Lions, defeating them 28-6 at the National Duals. Lehigh wrestlers won eight of ten bouts to earn seventh place at Nationals.
Eight nationally ranked wrestlers will highlight Sunday's match. Only one bout will feature two ranked wrestlers going head-to -head. Eleventh ranked Rob Rohn will face off against ninth ranked Mark Becks at 184 in what promises to be an exciting bout.
The dual is scheduled to begin at 2:00. Fans can watch the match live on Service Electric TV-2. Fox Sports Pittsburgh will televise the match January 12th at 4:00. The match will also be broadcast live on The Sports Monster 1230 (WEEX-AM) and www.lehigh.edu.
