Lehigh downed by Villanova 11-2

Joe Ercolano scored the first run of the game for Lehigh in the top of the first. He led the game off by reaching base on a fielding error at second base, and came around to score later in the inning on a single up the middle by
A couple of costly two-out Lehigh errors in the bottom of the first and second allowed Villanova to put four runs on the board, and take a 4-1 lead after two. The Wildcats put up two more runs in the fourth inning before the Mountain Hawks struck again.
Pinch hitter Greg Turcotte led off the top of the fifth with a double to left field. McGaheran drove him home on a single through the left side of the infield, to cut Villanova’s lead to 6-2.
The Wildcats responded by pounding out four runs in the bottom half of the inning and had a 10-2 lead heading into the sixth. Villanova added one more run in the seventh to pick up its 15th win of the season.
Mike Lebo (0-1) was given the loss on the hill, giving up just two earned runs on four hits in 3.2 innings of work.
