Mountain Hawks win second straight game

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Two five-run innings powered the Mountain Hawks to their second consecutive win on Thursday afternoon as Lehigh defeated Duquesne 11-3. Both sophomore Matt Reitz and freshman Dan Clauson were 3-for-4 from the plate, while senior David Moscow was 2-for-4. With the win, the Mountain Hawks improve to 2-4-1 on the season, while Duquesne falls to 2-5.

The Mountain Hawks added another five-run inning in the sixth to take a commanding 11-2 lead. Senior Stephen Salemme and Campbell each hit a two-RBI single, while Clauson had a single drove in junior Joe Ercolano.
Freshman Ken Longernecker picked up his first collegiate win. Longernecker came into the game in the second and pitched four innings. Classmate Andrew Berger pitched the final three innings for the save. Berger struck out two batters and allowed one hit and no runs.
