Frick named to NWCA All-Academic team

After earning his degree in industrial and systems engineering from Lehigh in May 2005, Frick enrolled in graduate classes while completing his final season of eligibility and earned a 3.60 grade point average in the fall 2005 while pursuing his masters in management science.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, wrestlers must have either a 3.2 GPA and be a NCAA qualifier or won 60 percent of his total schedule and must have competed in 60 percent of team schedule, or have a 3.0 GPA and earn All-American honors on the mats.
In all, 68 wrestlers from 39 of the 86 Division I wrestling programs earned all-Academic honors. Eighteen of those grapplers were NCAA All-Americans, including Frick, who finished his senior season with a record of 27-8. Frick won his second EIWA individual championship and went on to place sixth at the NCAA Championships. He finished his Lehigh career with a record of 95-34, including a 66-19 mark in dual matches. Frick was also one of nine wrestlers named to the team who were enrolled in graduate classes.
Also announced Tuesday were the NWCA Academic team standings. Lehigh ranked 14th in Division I with a 2.983 team grade point average. Brown took top honors for the second consecutive year with a 3.352 team GPA.
