Mountain Hawks take fourth at PL Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – Lehigh competed in the second-ever Patriot League Rowing Championships on Sunday afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond, and the Mountain Hawks finished fourth out of the five teams in attendance. Bucknell was the overall champion with 28 points, followed by Navy (26), Colgate (18), the Mountain Hawks (11) and Holy Cross (7).
In the varsity eight race, Lehigh’s boat of Denise Julian, Jackie Cross, Diana Phillapova, Sara Brams-Miller, Christine Porcaro, Alix Howie, Emily Marshall, Pam Lee, and Cox Sarah Michaels finished in fourth place with a time of 6:49.488, while in the second varsity eight race, the Brown and White came in fourth place as well, finishing in a time of 7:08.829. That boat consisted of Rebecca Guzman, Jen Keefe, Jenny Lofaro, Ellen Sweet, Katie Ginda, Kaitlyn McCraken, Li-Ping Chew, Kristen Bierbauer, and Cox Kristina Neid.
The varsity four boat of Nicole McCormick, Dawn Dayawon, Eve Gottesman, Ashley Pritchard, and Cox Deb Ou-Yang finished in fifth place with a time of 8:13.366.
