Mountain Hawks open Florida trip with win over Bonnies

Bradenton, FL – Lehigh snapped a three-game losing streak with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at the Baseball Academy on Sunday morning. The Mountain Hawks (7-3) erased a two-nothing hole and rallied for the win. Trailing by two runs in the bottom of the sixth, Lehigh, the designated home team, began to chip away. The Mountain Hawks picked up a run in that frame to cut the deficit in half. Still trailing by a run in the bottom of the ninth, Lehigh tied the contest at 2-2. With the bases loaded, Jeff Baker laced his second hit of the day – a game-winning single – to lead the Mountain Hawks to the win. Lehigh is back in action with a pair of games on Monday, taking on IPFW and Valparaiso.
