Mountain Hawks dominate in win over Drexel

Bethlehem, PA – The Mountain Hawks turned in maybe their most dominant performance of the season Sunday at the Lewis Tennis center, as they didn’t drop a single set and lost only 11 games overall. Lehigh improved to 6-1 on the year with the 7-0 win over the Drexel Dragons.
In doubles matchups, the Lehigh tandems won each set on the way to taking the point. Kristen Nowicki and Rachel Samson, Gwen Dwyer and Star Foster, and Maria Anorga and Lindsay Long each dropped just a single game as they all won their sets 8-1.
In singles, Nowicki, Foster, and Cessa Murasco-Blank won their matches 6-0, 6-0. Gwen Dwyer dropped one game to Brandy Tricker in winning 6-1, 6-0. The closest any Drexel player came to winning was in sixth flight singles, as Ashley Donohue won the first set 6-4 before blanking Pamela Panos 6-0 in the second set.
Lehigh has now won six straight matches on the year. The Mountain Hawks continue their season on March 7, as they begin their Spring Break trip to
